Certificated Sub Info
Current Sub Compensation: $190 General Education/$200 Special Education, Long Term begins on day 11 @ $200. A loyalty bonus of $500, when a substitute reaches their 100th day of service within a fiscal year.
To submit a Certificated Substitute/Hourly Application:
- Step 1 - Visit EdJoin.org to complete an application under: ‘2022/2023 School Year Certificated Substitutes’
- Step 2 - After Step 1 is completed, please wait for a response from Gayle Palmer in HR
- Step 3 - Based on Step 2, COMPLETE and SUBMIT 'ONLY' THE SIGNATURE PAGES FROM THE FORMS BELOW:
Make sure all documents are signed and dated before submitting, as only completed applications will be processed. Submit all applicable forms via email, to Gayle Palmer @ gpalmer@carlsbadusd.net or deliver to the District Office.
- Copy of your 'current' TB, Drivers' License, and 'signed' Social Security card
- "ALL" Supplemental Step 3 Documents - (Do not send picture files, scan saved documents as a pdf - This link is for guidance on how to sign a document without a printer)

- Step 2 - After Step 1 is completed, you will be sent for fingerprints at the District's expense.
